Hello and welcome to our lifestyle blog!
We are first time bloggers and are very excited to share this journey with all of you!
I am a 28-year-old school social worker and dog mom extraordinaire (at least I pretend to be). I moved from Michigan to Nashville Tennessee 3 years ago and have loved it ever since. People thought I was crazy because I moved without a job or a real plan. Within 1 week I got my dream job and the rest is history!
I love to explore new places and bring my dog along with me! We have traveled to Michigan (DUH!), Chattanooga, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard. She is the best thing that has happened to be and is the most spoiled and sassiest dog. Definitely my baby!
In my free time I love to read (romance and fiction mostly), watch movies, binge watch shows, hike, watch/go to sporting events (hockey and football!) and hang out with friends (especially Chelsey)! I’ve recently made the effort to create a healthier lifestyle and let me tell you it’s hard! Between my carb cravings and my sweet cravings, it’s killing me! I’m determined to become a better me though and hope to get inspiration from others.
I have always loved to read and write. I am very excited for this new adventure and hope you enjoy it as much as Chelsey and I do!
I’m Chelsey! I’m a 27 year old Educational Assistant and I have also been royally decreed by my 2 year old incredibly sassy niece to forever and always be “Aunt KiKi”. I was born and raised just outside of Nashville, Tennessee and have yet to explore all that Nashville has to offer!! I love hitting the Nashville Flea Market and local thrift shops. Decorating on a budget is one of my favorite things. I also love traveling to new and exciting places with family and friends. Courtney really does push me out of my “maybe one day” mentality into “get your butt up… we’re going” and CeCe is always down for wherever we end up. I’ve been to Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia (#ikea), New York, Pennsylvania, Bermuda (if you can go in October it’s their shoulder season and it’s amazing), Mexico, The Bahamas, Jamaica, etc.
In my spare time you can always catch me reading, scoping out new music, binge watching something or another, and playing with my niece. When it comes to reading and honestly music too, I don’t care what it is…if it catches my attention or I like how it sounds…I’m reading it or listening to it. I’m currently running out of places to stash my books, because lets face it…nothing beats the way a book feels in your hands. Well, that and there are only so many places that you can keep them out of reach from a sassy toddler.
**just in case y’all thought I was kidding about that sass level**
Mirroring what Courtney said above, I have been trying to guide my way around a healthier lifestyle too. I was diagnosed with PCOS from a very young age and that in and of itself makes dieting and losing weight that much harder. The insulin resistance alone makes the sugar and carb detox rough! At the end of the day though, I just want to do what I need to do for me to be happy and healthy, and I want others with PCOS to know that they aren’t alone in this either!
I’m so glad to have you guys along with us for this rollercoaster ride that is XOXO, CB. We were a nervous and excited wreck starting this blog!! I wouldn’t want to start it with anyone other than Courtney though.
