8 Apps Every Blogger Needs

Having been in the blogging world for a little over a year now, we are still learning the do’s and don’ts of blogging. Apps are going to help you out a lot when you need to check and schedule things on the go. That being said, we have apps that we just absolutely love that help us out with our blogging and social media presence. Here are some of the apps that we can’t live without.

GOOGLE SUITE APPS

We use google suite because it’s really the easiest platform for us to share our post drafts, plus they have apps for each platform. We can highlight and share what we think isn’t quite working for us and then tweak everything that we aren’t sure about. It really helps us during planning so we aren’t having to meet 4 or 5 times a week to go over blog issues.

UNUM

I think unum is our favorite Instagram scheduling app. It lets you create and design your own grid patterns as well as having a super simple interface for blogging beginners. You can create and store hashtags by type of posts. You can also prewrite your captions and copy and paste your captions right into IG!

WORDPRESS

We don’t utilize the wordpress app as much as we probably should. We typically just use it to keep track of our numbers, stats, and to approve comments.  It really is a pretty good app for blogging on the go.

ADSENSE

Register for adsense when you’ve had your blog for about 2-3 months. It’s a great tool for you to use to start monetizing your blog.

CANVA

We use Canva for most of our social media graphics. They have a paid version, but we’ve found that the free version works for us just fine.

PINTEREST

UTILIZE PINTEREST!!! I’m not joking. 95% of our traffic comes from social sites and of that 95%, 90% of it comes from pinterest. It’s a really great outlet for bloggers to start generating some traffic to their blog.

MAILCHIMP

We use Mailchimp for our email automation and freebie emails when people subscribe to our posts. It’s the simplest user interface that I’ve seen in a while. It’s also free which is nice.

FOLLOWERS

Followers really helps us keep up with our Instagram account specifics.  We participate in a lot of Facebook groups for Instagram and it helps us keep track of who’s following us from those groups. There’s also the whole “follow/unfollow” mess. We get really tired of that bs. There’s really no reason for it. It’s childish.

We use google suite because it’s really the easiest platform for us to share our post drafts, plus they have apps for each platform. We can highlight and share what we think isn’t quite working for us and then tweak everything that we aren’t sure about. You can get all these apps in either the App Store or the Play Store.
