10 Self Care Activities That You Can Do in 10 Minutes or Less

Fitting self care into your busy schedule can seem dang near impossible. Some days it seems that we have no time at all to spare! That’s why we have come up with 10 self care activities that you can complete in 10 minutes or less!

Meditate

A lesson on the Headspace app is 10 minutes long and I always feel better after each lesson! Meditating is always a good idea. It’s super calming and helps you clear your mind.

Download Aloe Bud

Aloe Bud is an all-in-one, self-care pocket companion. It gently brings awareness to self-care activities, using encouraging push notifications, rather than guilt or shame. This app is the greatest. There are no unwanted notifications on your phone. It’s just there when you need it!

Write Down What You’re Grateful For

We always need reminding of the things that we’re grateful for. I like to (mentally) do this all the tim, but having a physical copy of these things makes it to where I can go back and look at my lists whenever I need reminding!

Journal

Writing down what you’re feeling (even if it doesn’t make sense) can really help you in getting your self care in for the day. Start by writing down your concerns and fears, and what’s been happening in your life right now.

Stretch

Stretching is a good way to loosen your muscles and keep you from holding stress in your body. Start Stretching is an app that helps you learn how to stretch even when you don’t know where to begin. Stretching can help you out if you sit at a desk all day or even if you’re stressed out and need a release!

Watch a Funny Video on YouTube

Watching a funny video on YouTube can significantly reduce your stress! Just don’t fall into a youtube hole like I tend to do!

Make a Cup of Herbal Tea

Nothing is better than a cup of chamomile tea when I’m in need of some self care. Yogi actually has a stress relief tea that’s really good! If you’re not into tea, then I recommend drinking bone broth. It tastes like soup and it’s warm and calming, plus it’s really good in helping to boost your immune system!

Acupressure

Acupressure is a great way to reduce stress and other symptoms in your body. I’m a big believer in acupuncture and acupressure. Acupressure: Heal Yourself is an app that gives you all the pressure points on your body that you can apply pressure to for a number of ailments. It’s great to have, and I keep it around on my phone because I’m prone to migraines and don’t always have access to my medicine that helps me out.

Relax Your Body

Relaxing your body can help release the tension that your body is holding on to. Focus on unclenching your jaw, dropping your shoulders, roll your neck. This will help you start to release the tension throughout your body!
