I recently bought the Ardell magnetic lashes and wanted to share my experience. My lashes won’t curl. I mean I have tried everything and no matter what I do they won’t stay. So I heard about these magnetic lashes made by Ardell and decided to try them out!
Ardell makes so many fake lashes with 5 kinds of magnetic lashes. These include the double wispies, double 110, double demi wispies, accents 001, and accents 002. Target has a whole set-up devoted to these lashes and they are only $12! Unfortunately, my store only carries the accents 001 and the double 110 styles.
I decided to try the double 110 lashes first since they were the full lashes. The box comes with 4 lashes (2 for each top lash) with 4 magnets on each. The goal is to “sandwich” your actual lashes with the fake lashes. You place the top lash on your lashes while getting the bottom lashes to stick via the magnets. The goal is to get them as close to the lash line as possible.
I am not going to lie, they were SO difficult to put on the first few times. I had to stop trying a few times because I got so agitated. Before buying the lashes, I watched the video on their website and it looked so easy. I didn’t understand why I was having such difficulty.
After watching a few YouTube videos on how best to get them on my lashes. Had to cut the bottom lashes in half. This made it easier to get the lashes as close to my lash line as possible. It still took a few turns to get them to look nice and more natural. I loved the look of them and I tried to wear them to work but they got to be too heavy for my eyes/lashes.
Since the full lashes were too heavy, I thought the accent style might work better. Instead of 4 magnets on each lash, there are only 3. These are designed to attach near the outer corner of your eye. They kind of give you a “cat eye” look.
Some people think these look better than the full strips but on my eyes, I’m not 100% sold on them. These were a lot easier to attach to my lashes than the double 110. It still took me a few tries though. They are definitely not something that I would wear every day but only on special occasions, like a date night, night on the town, or a girls night out.
While I love both styles of lashes, I don’t think they are good for everyday wear. They are a lot easier to get on and take off than the glue kind (and a lot less messy). However, it did take me many many tries to get them to look semi-decent. So in conclusion, if you are looking for fake lashes to wear on a special occasion I highly recommend investing in a pair!
