May goals

May Goals

Chelsey and I (along with many other teachers I am sure) are counting down the days until the end of school. May 1st marks one more month till summer vacation! This year has flown by fast with this last month feeling like forever with all of our testing! It feels like our April goals got pushed WAY back with all the stress of work. We haven’t listed many goals for May due to the crazy end-of-year madness but we made sure they were ones that would benefit the blog long term.

April Goals Review

Read 4 books

Courtney: I only read 3 books instead of 2. I honestly don’t know where this month went. Feels like it went by so fast and looking back I can’t remember what I did.

Chelsey: Well this one was a complete wash for me. My kids in my classroom needed so much attention this month that I felt like I was just spinning my wheels.

Go to More Social Events

Chelsey: I didn’t get to go to outings as much as I would have wanted to because we had SO MUCH RAIN this month! I did get to create a lot of great memories with some great friends and that’s a little more important in my book.

Courtney: The weather was kinda crappy this month, so I didn’t do as many festivals as I would have liked. However, I did get to spend a lot of time with my friends so that awesome! We even geeked out and had a full on Marvel Movie Marathon weekend!

Work out at least 2X per week

Courtney: I completely failed at this goal for the month. I really wanted to walk my dog and get out more but the weather was so crappy that half the time I didn’t want to leave the house, just stay curled up in bed.

Chelsey: I didn’t do so well at this point BUT admin pulls us almost every day around this time of year to scan and reorganize all the textbooks for the entire school. This means I’m getting my steps in each day, but not necessarily carving time out strictly to exercise.

Work on Affiliate Programs

Chelsey and I did a lot of research this month on how to make this blog better for our awesome readers. Stay tuned for some awesome blog posts in the coming months!

May Goals

Read 2 books

Courtney: With the end of the year coming, my schedule is about to get really busy. I hope I will be able to get through 2 books this month.

Chelsey: I’m really hoping to make it to 2 books this month. With getting all my kids caught up in all their schoolwork and having to run down finals for all my kiddos to take for all of their classes…it can get nuts!

Get through this month

We teachers in Tennessee have one more month until summer vacation. May marks the end of testing and the year-end celebrations. It is also the month that the students start acting stir crazy and usually stop listening because there isn’t much else to learn. Thankfully, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I just hope it doesn’t take FOREVER to get there.

Write blog posts a week in advance

Chelsey and I have been so busy lately that we feel like we aren’t doing you all justice. So to that effect, we hope to get our blog posts written earlier so we have more time to edit and make sure they are in tip-top shape for you all to read!

What are your goals for the month? Be sure to leave them in the comments and we can all hold each other accountable!
